Where To Stay In Islamorada
Islamorada is considered the most beautiful key in the Florida Keys to visit! Below is a complete Islamorada Destination guide covering the best place stay as well as tasty dinning spots and can’t miss key lime pie spots!
Amara Cay Resort
For my birthday weekend in July, my husband and I celebrated in The Florida Keys at the Amara Cay Resort in Islamorada! I’m a Florida native, but this was my first time to The Florida Keys! We really enjoyed our stay at the Amara Cay and I definitely recommend paying this waterfront resort a visit!
Throughout the entire hotel, modern decor makes this resort feel sophisticated, yet relaxed. From a succulent wall to rattan hanging chairs, Amara Cay checks all the boxes for instagrammable moments. Not to mention, their zero entry pool surrounded by palm trees and oceanfront views make for some great photos too.

Baiia Sustainable Swimwear Brand
During our stay, we shot some content for the Baiia, a sustainable and ethically made swimwear line based in Australia. Best part about this gorgeous one piece – it’s reversible and made from recycled materials! Not only that, each piece is ethically made and garment workers are encouraged to work towards quality not quantity during production.

Best Restaurants In Islamorada

The Square Grouper and Marina

The Square Grouper and Marina
- Square Grouper Bar & Grill
For my birthday lunch we rode bikes, provided complimentary from the Amara Cay Resort, to the Square Grouper Bar & Grill. This trendy restaurant overlooks a marina and serves locally caught, fresh seafood!
- Lazy Days Restaurant
Walkable from the Amara Cay Resort, Lazy Days Restaurant is a great casual lunch or dinner spot! We visited this water-front property for lunch on a Sunday and the restaurant had a live singer outside! I couldn’t recommend their fresh fish sandwiches more!
- Islamorada Fish Company
Perfect spot for a sunset dinner on the water! Islamorada Fish Company is a casual restaurant and features plenty of outdoor, over-water seating. In the evening, the restaurant lites tiki torches making this a romantic atmosphere after a long day exploring!
- Pierre’s Restaurant
For my birthday dinner, we dined at Pierre’s, an upscale French-Meditatian restaurant inside a two-story plantation house. We sat outside along the veranda and enjoyed a breathtaking sunset with a waterfront view!

- Blond Giraffe Key Lime Pie Factory
After we checked out of the Amara Cay resort, we stopped by the Blond Giraffe Key Lime Pie Factory on our way back to Orlando. We each ordered a slice of key lime pie with different toppings and enjoyed our dessert outside in their shady garden.
