Trendy Lunch Spot in Marrakesh, Morocco

Heading to Marrakech and planning on staying at a riad in the Old City and hanging out around the Medina? Be sure to check out Max & Jan, a perfect lunch spot in Marrakesh, in the heart of the Old City for an Insta-worthy rooftop dining experience! Jason and I found this gem by chance as we were wandering around the Marrakech Medina in search of a lunch spot! Unfamiliar with the Max & Jan brand, we initially entered the trendy storefront to check out the beautiful clothes and accessories. Once we learned of the rooftop dining area, we headed up for lunch!

As a lifestyle brand, Max & Jan is committed to showcasing Moroccan heritage in not only the style of their products but also in their mission to work exclusively with Moroccan designers. When walking up the stairs to the roof terrace, the brand extends into the interior design and textile selections of the restaurant. Colorful furniture pieces create an exciting atmosphere while traditional Moroccan fabrics invite a cozy environment. For lunch, Jason and I shared two entrees from the menu the celebrates both traditional Moroccan cuisine and international dishes. The locally sourced and mostly organic dishes look and taste brightly beautiful! We finished our meal with a delicious mango themed dessert and enjoyed not only the views but also a sweetly shy grey kitty that wandered throughout the terrace.
